Overview In this role you lead project management commissions for large/complex infrastructure projects from Glasgow, interfacing with clients to ensure delivery within time, cost and quality targets. You’ll guide governance, planning, resourcing and risk management, coordinating cross-functional teams and reporting progress to stakeholders. The position sits within a broader engineering function and offers exposure to transportation, defence, utilities, marine and highways projects. You will contribute to delivering major programmes while developing toward senior project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities - Advise on strategic approaches at project inception to achieve objectives
- Define project requirements and success criteria
- Establish governance, processes and systems for the project
- Prepare and maintain the master project plan and schedules
- Develop resource plans and manage procurement of resources
- Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team
- Apply performance management techniques and KPI monitoring
- Manage change control and budget forecasting/actuals
- Liaise with client, consultants and stakeholders throughout project life cycle
- Address Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risk planning
- Oversee quality, safety, health and environment planning and management
- Prepare progress and other formal project reports
- Support business development and client relationship building
- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation
- Ensure information flow between team and client via meetings and communications
- Oversee risk management and governance throughout the project lifecycle
Key requirements - Experience on large scheme projects (100m plus)
- NEC: ECC Project Manager accreditation
- Degree qualification preferred in Civil Engineering
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS or equivalent preferred
