Overview As a Senior Project Manager in our flood risk portfolio, you will lead delivery of complex projects and programmes, mentor teams, and drive client objectives in the Midlands. You’ll work across interdisciplinary teams on flood risk, environmental improvements, and asset management, shaping solutions under NEC contracts. This role combines leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial rigour to deliver high-profile outcomes. Responsibilities - Lead delivery of multidisciplinary projects and programmes from inception to completion
- Manage contract and commercial aspects, including NEC PSC/ECC forms
- Develop and mentor project teams and foster cross-functional collaboration
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, and project controls
- Ensure health, safety, quality and environmental standards are met
- Coordinate with senior client representatives and stakeholders to meet objectives
- Resolve complex problems and translate them into actionable delivery plans
- Plan and communicate across multiple work streams and teams
- Build long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients
- Lead on large projects or programmes and promote continuous improvement
Key requirements - Experience delivering flood risk management/environment projects typically 2m–15m
- Experience with NEC contracts, PSC and ECC forms, and contract roles under NEC
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities to shape solutions
- Ability to work under pressure, drive solutions, and motivate others
- Excellent planning, communication, and organizational skills across multiple streams
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants
- Background in project management within infrastructure or public-sector contexts
