Overview In this role you will lead the programme controls function for Defence-related, major construction projects. You will ensure accurate planning, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting, and coordinate resources across the controls team. You will review proposals, develop deliverable and resource plans, and maintain data standards in cost and performance systems. You will work closely with Programme and Project Managers to enable delivery within an Investment Plan and the organisation’s framework. Responsibilities - Lead the programme controls function for a programme, ensuring accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting
- Review new project proposals/remits and develop realistic, resourceable delivery plans
- Identify and coordinate resourcing requirements with planning functions
- Provide day-to-day reporting support on plans, costs, safety, environment and programme performance
- Ensure data input to cost and performance systems meets required data standards
- Manage production of the Investment Plan and compliance with the Investment Competence Framework
Key requirements - Degree in a relevant technical or management field or suitable equivalent qualifications and experience
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., APM, PMI)
- Ability to make risk-based decisions under uncertainty and adapt leadership style
- Competence with the software/tools needed to perform the role
- Desire to work across sectors and with diverse clients
- Experience in project controls across the project lifecycle and multiple disciplines (Planning/Scheduling, Cost Estimation, Cost Management, Risk Management or Reporting)
