Overview In this role you will lead complex flood risk projects, driving delivery from inception through handover while mentoring junior staff. You will work with cross-functional client teams across the Midlands to achieve high-profile outcomes and strengthen trusted advisor relationships. You’ll shape soluciones for multi-disciplinary challenges using NEC contract frameworks and robust project controls. Responsibilities - Lead and deliver flood risk projects and programmes across lifecycles for 2m–15m budgets
- Manage contracts, client objectives, and project controls including cost and scheduling
- Provide leadership to project teams and mentor junior staff
- Oversee health, safety, quality and environmental management
- Plan and communicate across multiple work streams and senior client stakeholders
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams on large projects and programmes
- Foster a creative, growth-oriented mindset within the team
Key requirements - Significant project/programme delivery experience in flood risk or environmental sectors
- Experience with NEC contract management suite, PSC and ECC forms, as Service Manager or Project Manager
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to build trusted advisory relationships
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and numerical skills for complex issues
- Ability to work under pressure, drive solutions, and influence outcomes
- Solid planning, communication, and organisational skills across multiple streams
