Overview As a Project Manager at Assystem, you will lead complex design delivery within a fast-paced FMN Delivery Team, collaborating with engineering and controls specialists to meet performance baselines. You’ll manage documentation, budgets, schedules, and risk, while driving continuous improvement and cross-functional coordination. The role supports company goals in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient projects in a regulated environment. This is a chance to shape design execution from FEED through closeout and demonstrate impact across multiple engineering domains.
Responsibilities - Lead and track progress of design package delivery aligned with baselines
- Manage project documentation to ensure up-to-date, compliant records
- Control budgets and ensure expenditures align with approved plans
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Provide performance updates including earned value and variance analysis
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance delivery performance
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively
- Support change management and adapt to project changes
- Oversee dependencies and coordinate across teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Safety, and Regulatory teams
- Champion best practices in project management and live company values
- Deliver complex design work including FEED design in mechanical, EC&I, and systems engineering
- Deliver assigned design work and manage cost and schedule performance
- Identify and mitigate risks and support project governance and closeout
Key requirements - Degree qualified in an engineering discipline
- Project management experience in planning, controlling budgets, and driving to schedules within a technical environment
- Engineering and technical competence for effective decision-making
- Understanding of cross-functional roles such as purchasing, commercial, and engineering management
- Well-organized, systematic planning approach
