Overview In this role you lead end-to-end project management commissions for complex infrastructure schemes, acting as the primary client interface to ensure delivery on time, budget and quality. You will work within a Glasgow team that handles high-profile transport, utilities and defence projects, supporting client objectives through governance, planning and cross-functional leadership. You’ll shape approaches at project inception and drive performance using KPI-based monitoring. Responsibilities - Provide strategic advice at project inception to achieve client objectives
- Define project requirements and success criteria across time, cost, technical and performance parameters
- Establish governance, processes and systems for the project lifecycle
- Create and maintain master project plan and activity schedules
- Develop and implement resource plans and procurement
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams
- Monitor performance using KPIs and manage change control
- Prepare budgets and track forecast vs actual costs
- Coordinate project information with client through meetings and reports
- Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks
- Prepare formal progress and other reports
- Interface with client, consultants and stakeholders throughout project
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment throughout the project
Key requirements - NEC (3/4) accreditation preferred
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS etc preferred
- Degree qualification in a construction related subject desirable
- Experience in project management of infrastructure projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client interfacing skills
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Knowledge of risk management and change control processes
