Overview In this role you will support delivering multidisciplinary environmental projects within a collaborative PMO, working with senior leads to keep initiatives safe, on time, and within budget. You will handle a varied portfolio across the UK for public and private clients and can take ownership of smaller projects while supporting larger programmes. There is scope to mentor peers and help shape the Environmental Project Management capability. This is a chance to grow core project management and PMO skills toward a Senior Environmental Project Manager position.

Responsibilities - Assist in developing project proposals, scoping, resourcing, programmes and budgets
- Create and maintain project documentation (plans, forecasts, risk registers, schedules) for smaller projects and support larger ones
- Monitor progress, drive delivery against timelines, and manage day-to-day costs
- Ensure health and safety for site visits and secure internal approvals
- Support contract administration and governance compliance
- Proactively manage change and risks with technical teams to maintain scope and governance
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, partners and suppliers
- Champion environmental outcomes and contribute to sustainability and net-zero initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders as a point of contact
Key requirements - Experience as Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager in environmental or sustainability sectors
- Understanding of programme management principles and tools (MS Project, Primavera P6)
- Commercial awareness with budget management and change control
- Familiarity with Professional Services Contracts (NEC3/4) advantageous
- Confident written and verbal communication
- Working towards or holding membership of a professional body (PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS)
