Overview In this role you enable delivery of Defence projects within a growing Midlands practice. You work with cross-functional teams to plan, scope, and control programmes, ensuring alignment with client needs and strategic goals. You will lead scheduling, cost management, change control, and governance activities, while developing business cases and facilitating gateway reviews. The work offers exposure to high-profile programmes and a chance to shape Defence delivery within a leading professional services firm.
Responsibilities - Influence project delivery through planning, monitoring and control
- Collaborate with the team to define and interrogate scope of work
- Champion programme delivery strategies to achieve client outcomes
- Define programmes/projects aligned with client needs and context
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and update detailed schedules and cost data; identify variances and remedial actions
- Ensure services from technical, engineering, project controls, commercial and finance functions are delivered
- Prepare business cases and obtain approvals
- Carry out gateway reviews
- Maintain change management processes and procedures
- Prepare regular status reports and dashboards
- Prepare and manage project plans
- Monitor and advise on project KPIs
Key requirements - Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Full UK Driving Licence
- MAPM (preferred)
- Security Clearance (preferred)
- APMP – Practitioner (preferred)
- Certified Project Management Associate (preferred)
- PRINCE2 – Practitioner (preferred)
