Overview In this role you will lead and deliver rail upgrade projects across Scotland, coordinating design, construction, testing and handback of OLE and P&D works. You will ensure adherence to Network Rail standards and lifecycle processes, while aligning multidisciplinary inputs for integrated delivery. The role includes safety leadership, risk assessment and site audits, with responsibility for resource planning and stakeholder coordination. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive safe, compliant, and on-time project outcomes, leveraging your experience in rail or similar infrastructure settings.
Pay / Benefits - salary circa 65,000 - 68,000 DOE

Responsibilities - Manage allocated OLE and P&D works through design, construction, testing and handback
- Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, GRIP/PACE lifecycle, and contractor procedures
- Coordinate inputs from Civils, Signalling, Track, SCADA & Telecoms for integrated delivery
- Provide out of hours/emergency support as required
- Promote safety culture in line with Lifesaving Rules and company policies
- Support CDM compliance, method statements and risk assessments
- Assist Senior Project Manager in Safety Management System maintenance
- Manage project plans with planning team and allocate resources
- Oversee delivery within possessions, blockades and railway constraints
- Support commercial team with cost forecasting and change control
- Monitor subcontractor performance and certify works
- Procure and manage subcontracted packages
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting
- Act as day-to-day contact for Network Rail representatives
- Attend progress meetings and escalate issues
- Foster relationships with designers, subcontractors and suppliers
- Supervise site managers, engineers and supervisors
- Provide technical and managerial support and promote continuous improvement
Key requirements - Proven experience delivering works in UK rail or similar infrastructure
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Good commercial awareness with exposure to NEC or similar contracts
