Overview As a Project Manager in Clancy’s Energy team, you lead and develop multiple pre-construction projects, shaping working methodologies and sequences to move schemes into construction. You work closely with SGN and internal teams to manage scope, safety, cost, and quality, while coordinating stakeholders and subcontractors. You drive progress with Primavera P6 plans, site visits, and governance across pre-construction phases, delivering on time and within NEC-based frameworks. Responsibilities - Manage designated project work to ensure safety, technical compliance, and quality within the P6 programme and budgets
- Conduct site visits, kick-off meetings, progress monitoring, and provide regular updates to Clancy SGN
- Coordinate with clients, senior management and stakeholders to meet programme milestones
- Execute project execution plans for proposed delivery strategies
- Demonstrate leadership and maintain strong working relationships with SGN and teams
- Coordinate subcontractors to deliver time, cost, and quality targets
- Capture and hand over pre-construction information to delivery teams
- Support estimating in construction programmes, risk registers, and initial CDM/safety docs
- Support consenting teams with stakeholder management and consent plans
- Assist commercial teams to maintain cost control and administer NEC contracts
Key requirements - Contractual experience (ideally NEC)
- Gas and Utilities experience
- Significant technical and practical experience in utilities project management
- Detailed understanding of the gas industry
- Experience with Primavera P6
- Experience with Excel data
