Overview Lead end-to-end project management for infrastructure commissions, acting as the primary client interface to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery and adherence to quality standards. Manage projects of varying size within the Midlands, typically 10–25m, with potential larger advisory work such as urban regeneration funding. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish governance, schedules, budgets and risk plans, delivering client objectives and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities - Provide strategic advice at project inception to meet client objectives
- Define project requirements and success criteria (time, cost, performance)
- Establish governance, processes and systems for the project
- Prepare and maintain master schedules and project plans
- Develop resource plans and procure resources
- Lead the cross-functional project team
- Apply performance management techniques using KPIs
- Manage change control and cost forecasting
- Coordinate information flow with client and consultants through meetings and communications
- Identify and mitigate project risks with appropriate actions
- Prepare progress reports and stakeholder communications
- Interface with client, consultants and stakeholders across all stages
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- Plan and oversee quality, safety, health and environment management
Key requirements - Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (preferably Bachelor in Civil Engineering)
- Experience on large scheme projects (100m+)
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS, or equivalent (preferred)
