Overview As a Senior Project Manager, you lead end-to-end project management commissions on infrastructure projects in Glasgow, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality targets. You act as the primary client interface, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders to meet objectives. You’ll shape governance, define requirements, and manage risks, changes and budgets to drive successful project outcomes. This role offers exposure to large-scale transportation, utilities and highways work within a supportive, inclusive firm that values delivery and client impact.
Responsibilities - Provide strategic advice at project inception to align approaches with client objectives
- Define project requirements and success criteria across time, cost, technical, and performance parameters
- Establish governance, processes, and systems for project delivery
- Create and maintain master project schedules and progress reports
- Lead cross-functional project teams and manage resource planning and procurement
- Monitor performance using KPI-driven techniques and manage change control
- Develop and control budgets and forecast vs actual costs
- Liaise with client, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycle
- Address Health & Safety and Environmental considerations and ongoing quality management
- Identify risks and implement mitigations; manage project information flow through meetings and communications
- Support business development and client relationship building
- Ensure compliance with client and project standards and corporate policies
Key requirements - Experience on large scheme projects (100m plus)
- NEC: ECC Project Manager accreditation
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering preferred
- Chartered/qualified status with ICE, APM, RICS preferred
