This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their Project Management career who wants to gain exposure to high-quality development projects, work directly alongside experienced Project Managers and Directors, and develop within a supportive consultancy environment.
The business works with a strong mix of developers, investors and public-sector clients, delivering projects across a varied portfolio including commercial, residential, regeneration, leisure and mixed-use developments.
The Role
As Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the successful delivery of projects from initial concept and design through procurement, construction and completion.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Project Managers and Directors across multiple projects
- Assisting with projects from inception through to completion
- Coordinating architects, engineers and wider consultant teams
- Supporting project programmes, meetings, reporting and documentation
- Assisting with procurement and contractor appointments
- Monitoring project progress, risk and key actions
- Attending client, design and site meetings
- Liaising with contractors and consultants throughout delivery
- Supporting Contract Administration and project governance
- Building strong relationships with clients and project teams
About You
We're looking for someone who is ambitious, personable and keen to develop a career in construction Project Management.
You'll ideally have:

- Experience within a consultancy environment would be beneficial
- A relevant degree in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Confidence dealing with different stakeholders
- A proactive approach and willingness to take responsibility
- An interest in working towards a professional qualification such as MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB
- A genuine desire to progress within Project Management
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit and growing Manchester team where you'll have direct exposure to senior members of the business and the opportunity to work on interesting projects from an early stage in your career.
Rather than being restricted to one part of the project lifecycle, you'll gain broad experience across development, design, procurement and construction, helping you build a strong foundation as a well-rounded Project Manager.
The business places a real emphasis on giving people responsibility, support and opportunities to progress, making this particularly suited to someone looking for a consultancy where they can develop their career over the long term.
In return, you can expect:
- Competitive salary and benefits
- Varied project exposure across the North West
- Direct mentoring from experienced Project Managers and Directors
- Support towards professional development and chartership
- Increasing responsibility as your experience develops
