About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead a significant development project in Manchester . You will be responsible for the overall planning, direction, and successful completion of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, a comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, and a proven track record of managing complex projects from initiation through to handover. You will be the key point of contact for all stakeholders, driving project success in the vibrant Greater Manchester area.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of the construction project lifecycle, including planning, design, execution, and closeout.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and manage all on-site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular progress reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in construction project management.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction best practices in the UK .
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
