About the Role
Our client, a major player in the consumer goods industry, is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead initiatives focused on supply chain optimization. You will be responsible for managing projects that aim to improve inventory management, logistics, procurement, and demand forecasting. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of supply chain optimization projects from initiation to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business goals.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Oversee the implementation of new supply chain technologies and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, logistics, warehousing) and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Communicate project status, key milestones, risks, and issues to stakeholders effectively.
- Ensure project outcomes contribute to reduced costs, improved efficiency, and enhanced supply chain visibility.
- Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned for future initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a specific focus on supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
- Demonstrated experience in leading projects related to inventory management, network design, or process improvement within a supply chain context.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and supply chain management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive data-informed decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- APICS or PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working within a Hybrid model, balancing remote coordination with on-site operational engagement in Stoke-on-Trent .
