About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of cutting-edge renewable energy projects across the West Midlands, based in Birmingham . This role is crucial for driving the transition to sustainable energy sources, managing all phases of project lifecycles from conception through to completion and handover. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, regulatory bodies, and community representatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, contributing to a greener future for the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage installations.
- Develop detailed project plans, scopes of work, budgets, and timelines, and manage their execution diligently.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Oversee site acquisition, permitting, environmental assessments, and grid connection processes.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Monitor project performance, track key milestones, and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure or energy projects, with at least 5 years in renewables.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project finance, and development processes.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, legal documents, and regulatory requirements.
