About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee critical projects within the energy sector in Birmingham . This role is crucial for driving the development and successful execution of solar, wind, and other sustainable energy initiatives from conception through to operational handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards, contributing directly to the company's commitment to a greener future and supporting the UK's transition to sustainable power sources within a vibrant industrial hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of renewable energy projects, including feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including investors, suppliers, local authorities, and community representatives.
- Track project progress, prepare regular reports, and manage project documentation effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the renewable energy or utilities industry.
- Strong understanding of solar PV , wind energy technologies, or other relevant sustainable energy systems.
- Experience with contract negotiation, supplier management, and construction oversight.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed across the UK energy market .
