About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Renewable Energy Project Manager to spearhead ambitious projects in the Birmingham area. This role is critical to expanding our client's portfolio of sustainable energy solutions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects, from initial feasibility studies through to commissioning and handover. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of navigating complex regulatory environments and managing diverse project stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget, contributing significantly to the UK's transition to cleaner energy sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects , including solar, wind, and battery storage.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure project success.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, providing regular progress updates and addressing concerns proactively.
- Oversee the procurement process, including tender evaluations and contract negotiations.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing large-scale renewable energy projects from conception to completion.
- Demonstrable understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile).
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and the UK energy market.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
