About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the development and execution of innovative clean energy projects. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to manage projects from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to construction, commissioning, and handover. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of renewable technologies (solar, wind, battery storage) and a proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects to successful completion, driving the transition towards a sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects , ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including site selection, permitting, grid connection agreements, and procurement.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against key milestones.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Communicate project status, key issues, and financial performance to stakeholders and senior management regularly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Significant experience (7+ years) in project management within the renewable energy sector , with a focus on solar, wind, or energy storage.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
