About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead significant civil engineering infrastructure projects in the Stoke-on-Trent area. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects ranging from road construction to utility network upgrades, ensuring adherence to stringent quality, safety, and environmental standards. This role requires a practical and organized individual who can manage multiple work streams, coordinate with various stakeholders including local authorities and utility companies, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and cost-effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of civil engineering infrastructure projects from conception through to handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Manage project finances, including cost control, forecasting, and contractor payments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil engineering or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure project lifecycles, from planning to execution.
- Experience managing budgets and schedules for large-scale projects.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and relevant UK regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- A relevant degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
