About the Role
Our client seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager specializing in Engineering projects, based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role is essential for driving the successful execution of engineering initiatives, from concept development through to implementation and final delivery. You will collaborate with engineering teams, R&D departments, and operational stakeholders to ensure projects meet technical specifications, quality benchmarks, and strategic business goals. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background coupled with proven project management expertise, thriving in a hybrid setting that combines focused remote work with essential on-site collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, quality standards, and project deadlines.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk assessment, and budget management.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers, and cross-functional departments to facilitate project progress and problem resolution.
- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and handover phases of engineering projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Project Management , specifically within an engineering context.
- Proven ability to manage technical projects, understand engineering challenges, and deliver results.
- Familiarity with engineering design software and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in a hybrid work environment is preferred.
