About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Project Manager with experience in the manufacturing sector to join their operations in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK . You will be responsible for managing projects focused on process improvement, new product introductions, and operational efficiency within their manufacturing facilities. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to achieve project objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and a proven ability to deliver successful projects that enhance productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of manufacturing projects , from concept and planning through to execution and completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for manufacturing initiatives.
- Coordinate activities between engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams.
- Implement and monitor process improvements and operational efficiency projects.
- Ensure projects meet all safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements within the manufacturing environment.
- Identify and manage project risks, proactively addressing potential issues to minimize impact.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status.
- Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is desirable.
