About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee various residential construction projects in the Leicester area. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule all construction activities, coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Supervise and manage all site personnel, including tradespeople and labourers, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor project progress against the timeline and budget, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, delivery logs, and health and safety documentation.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to address queries and resolve any site-related issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and health and safety legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant construction qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Construction Management) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in using project management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
