About the Role
Our client seeks a driven and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee critical projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of renewable energy installations, from initial feasibility studies and planning through to construction, commissioning, and handover. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex regulatory environments and manage multiple stakeholders effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of renewable energy projects , including planning, procurement, execution, and closure.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Liaise with internal teams, external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular, comprehensive reports to senior management.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives in the Newcastle upon Tyne area and beyond.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the energy sector, specifically with renewable technologies (solar, wind, etc.).
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with UK energy market regulations and planning processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and timelines for large-scale projects.
