About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of significant solar and wind energy projects in and around Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for expanding our client's renewable energy portfolio and requires a leader capable of managing all project phases from conception through to operation. You will work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, including site selection, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, and ensure adherence to them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including landowners, local communities, government agencies, and suppliers.
- Oversee risk management, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place for all project phases.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in managing large-scale renewable energy projects, such as solar or wind farms.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with UK planning laws and environmental regulations pertinent to energy projects.
