About the Role
Our client seeks a motivated Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the development and execution of innovative green energy projects in the Coventry region. This pivotal role involves managing all phases of project lifecycle, from conception and feasibility studies through to construction and commissioning, focusing on wind, solar, and battery storage technologies. You will be key in fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards, driving the transition to sustainable energy solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects, including site selection, permitting, and grid connection processes.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure financial and operational success.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project progression.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, investors, and community groups.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in project management, specifically within the renewable energy sector.
- Experience with solar, wind, or battery storage project development and implementation.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with UK planning laws and energy regulations.
