Overview In this role you lead end-to-end project management on infrastructure commissions from our Yorkshire team, acting as the main client interface to meet time, cost and quality targets. You will oversee governance, planning, risk, and cross-functional delivery on projects typically in the 10–25m range, with opportunities for larger advisory work. You drive project performance and client relationships, shaping outcomes for major programmes. This is a senior step within a global firm that delivers impactful infrastructure.
Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end project commissions and ensure delivery to time, cost and quality targets
- Advise at strategic inception, proposing approaches to achieve client objectives
- Define project requirements and success criteria
- Establish governance, processes and systems for the project
- Create and maintain schedules and master project plans
- Manage project development against approved plans and targets
- Develop resource plans and procure resources
- Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team
- Apply performance management techniques and KPIs to improve delivery
- Manage change control and budgeting; monitor forecast vs actual costs
- Coordinate information flow with client through meetings and communications
- Identify and mitigate project risks and implement risk controls
- Prepare progress reports and other formal communications
- Interface with client, consultants and stakeholders throughout all stages
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- Plan for and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues
Key requirements - Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred)
- Experience on large scheme projects (100m+)
- NEC: ECC Project Manager accreditation
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS or equivalent (preferred)
