Overview In this role you lead end-to-end project management commissions for infrastructure projects, acting as the primary client interface to ensure time, cost, and quality targets are met. You will operate within the Glasgow team, supporting assignments across transportation, utilities and highways. You’ll guide cross-functional teams, manage risks, budgets, and procurement, and report progress to clients and stakeholders. This is a pathway to a senior PM role, with mentoring and opportunities to drive strategic project delivery. Responsibilities - Provide strategic guidance at project inception to align with client objectives
- Define and maintain project requirements and success criteria
- Establish governance, processes, and systems for the project
- Create and maintain the master project plan and schedules
- Oversee project development against approved plans and targets
- Develop resource plans and manage procurement
- Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team
- Monitor performance using KPIs and implement improvements
- Manage change control and budget against forecasts
- Ensure effective communication with the client and stakeholders
- Advise on Health & Safety and environmental risks
- Plan and manage Quality, Safety, Health and Environment aspects
- Prepare formal progress reports
- Represent the client and coordinate with consultants and stakeholders
- Support recruitment and staff development and business development
Key requirements - Experience on large scheme projects (100m plus)
- NEC: ECC Project Manager accreditation
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS (preferred)
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (preferred)
