Overview As a Project Manager, you will lead end-to-end project delivery on prestigious infrastructure schemes in the Midlands, coordinating a cross-functional team to meet time, cost, and quality targets. You will be the main client interface, shaping governance, plans, and risk management to ensure objectives are achieved. The role offers exposure to varied sectors (transport, highways, utilities) and opportunities to influence project outcomes from inception through delivery. You will work within a supportive, experienced team focused on client value and delivery excellence.
Responsibilities - Provide strategic input at project inception to outline approaches for achieving client objectives
- Define and maintain project requirements and success criteria (time, cost, performance)
- Establish project governance, processes and systems
- Create and maintain master project plans and schedules
- Manage project development per approved plans and targets
- Develop and implement resource plans and procurement
- Lead cross-functional project teams and stakeholder engagement
- Monitor performance using KPIs and drive improvements
- Oversee change control, budgeting, and cost forecasting
- Facilitate information flow to client via meetings and reports
- Identify and mitigate project risks and plan responses
- Prepare formal progress and other reports
- Lead interface with client, consultants, and stakeholders at all stages
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues
- Maintain relationships with clients and cross-functional teams for continued delivery
Key requirements - NEC (3/4) accreditation preferred
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS etc preferred
- Degree qualification in construction-related subject preferred
- Experience in project management of infrastructure projects (10m-25m typical) or larger for advisory work
- Strong client interface and stakeholder management experience
- Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality targets
