About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all phases of solar farm project development and execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Conduct thorough site feasibility studies, including environmental impact assessments and grid connection assessments.
- Oversee the selection and management of EPC contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with landowners, local communities, and planning authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits.
- Monitor project progress, report on key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee the commissioning and handover process, ensuring successful project completion and performance validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy industry, specifically with solar PV projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-million-pound infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Strong understanding of solar farm technologies, grid connection processes, and relevant permitting procedures.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in contract negotiation and management (e.g., EPC, O&M agreements).
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and health and safety standards in the UK.
- Proven leadership experience in managing diverse project teams.
