About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of key renewable energy projects in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. You will be instrumental in driving the transition to sustainable energy sources, managing projects from conception through to completion. This role offers a blend of office-based and remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring strong team collaboration and site oversight when necessary. You will play a critical role in achieving ambitious environmental targets and contributing to the growth of the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects , including planning, design, procurement, and construction.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Oversee site assessments and feasibility studies for potential project locations.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including investors, regulatory bodies, and community groups.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management , specifically within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, etc.).
- Strong understanding of project finance and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
