About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of diverse clean energy projects in and around Sunderland . This role is crucial for driving the transition to sustainable energy solutions, managing projects from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle for renewable energy installations , including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, legal) and external stakeholders (suppliers, contractors, regulatory bodies).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Manage project risks, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
- Report on project progress, milestones, and challenges to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, battery storage).
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
