About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of solar and wind energy projects in and around Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, project management expertise, and strong leadership skills to guide diverse project teams and stakeholders through the complexities of renewable energy development, contributing to the company's ambitious growth targets in sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of renewable energy projects, including site assessment, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from conception to completion.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and a strong understanding of project finance principles.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with experience managing hybrid teams.
