About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the energy sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead pivotal energy transition initiatives from their **Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK** office. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of energy transition projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Manage project teams, including internal staff, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing effective contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication channels with clients, partners, and internal departments.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports.
- Lead procurement processes and manage contractor performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and contribute to lessons learned.
- Champion the adoption of new technologies and innovative approaches within projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in project management, with a significant portion dedicated to the energy sector, preferably in energy transition or renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of project management tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects with significant budgets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in risk management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Experience working within a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work.
