About the Role
Our client seeks a dynamic and results-oriented Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead diverse projects from inception to completion in the Leeds area. This role requires exceptional organizational and leadership skills to manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relations for projects focused on solar, wind, or other emerging energy technologies. You will play a key part in expanding the company's clean energy infrastructure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a strategic position for a seasoned professional driving the transition to sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects , including site selection, permitting, and construction.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation effectively.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project progress.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder communication, providing regular project updates and reporting to senior management.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company policies for sustainable energy development .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management , with a significant portion dedicated to the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, battery storage).
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project finance, contract negotiation, and risk management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant energy technologies and regulatory frameworks.
