About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Energy Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of renewable energy projects in and around Leeds . This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the central point of contact, coordinating with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to drive project success. This position requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of project lifecycles within the energy sector. The role is office-based to facilitate close collaboration with site teams and local partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from inception and planning through to construction and commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate and liaise with engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and challenges regularly to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, specifically within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects concurrently, from initiation to completion.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively on-site and manage relationships with diverse teams and contractors.
