About the Role
Our client, a rapidly expanding force in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an accomplished and results-driven Renewable Energy Project Manager . This role is critical to the successful development, execution, and delivery of innovative renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage. You will oversee projects from inception through to commissioning, managing all aspects including feasibility studies, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and handover. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project management methodologies, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. This position, located in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK , offers a Hybrid work arrangement, blending essential site and office presence with remote flexibility. You will be instrumental in driving the company's growth and contributing to a sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage).
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee site selection, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
- Manage the permitting and regulatory approval processes.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors.
- Ensure projects comply with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including investors, local communities, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare project reports and present updates to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a significant portion focused on renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects concurrently from initiation to completion.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, grid connection processes, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze technical and financial data to make informed decisions.
- Experience working in a hybrid or site-based role, with flexibility for travel as required.
- Must be able to work effectively within the hybrid model at our Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK location.
