About the Role
Our client, a dynamic force in the Energy sector, is actively seeking a proactive and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee new developments from conception through to operational handover. Based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK , you will manage all aspects of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, commercial acumen, and leadership skills to navigate complex project environments and contribute to the UK's transition to sustainable energy sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring for renewable energy projects , including defining scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, local authorities, and community groups.
- Oversee site assessments, permitting processes, and grid connection applications.
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Manage project risks, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Control project costs, tracking expenditure and ensuring financial targets are met.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of the technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects of renewable energy technologies.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project risks effectively.
