About the Role
Our client, a fast-growing developer in the renewable energy landscape, is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Renewable Energy Project Manager to join their expanding team. Based remotely but with a focus on projects across the Leeds region and beyond, you will take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from initial development through to construction and commissioning of solar, wind, and battery storage projects. This role is perfect for an individual passionate about sustainability and experienced in managing complex energy projects. You will be key in driving the successful delivery of vital clean energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects , ensuring they are on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, risk registers, and financial forecasts.
- Oversee the permitting and consent process, liaising with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the energy sector , specifically renewables.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects from conception to completion.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, battery storage).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
