About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the renewable energy sector , is seeking a dynamic Solar Farm Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of large-scale solar projects in and around Leeds . This role is integral to expanding our clean energy portfolio and requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities. You will manage all phases of project lifecycle, from initial site assessment and permitting to construction, commissioning, and handover. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of solar farm projects , ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Oversee site acquisition, land leasing, environmental assessments, and permitting processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations for construction and operation.
- Monitor project performance, track key milestones, and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in the renewable energy industry , specifically with utility-scale solar projects.
- Strong understanding of solar technology, grid connection processes, and project development lifecycles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing site visits with office-based and remote work.
